Whisker Interviews {Ellie}

Sniff-sniff-snort-snort, I’m Ellie! I’m part pug. Everyone always debates what I’m a mixture of…

Me!
Me!

Chihuahua, Beagle, Dachshund. But, hello?! I’m a dog. Duh! I don’t know exactly when my birthday is, but the vet says I’m 4. I’m the newest edition to the household. Mama and Daddy rescued me 3 years ago.

Mama saw me on a pet website for the local pound and told Daddy they had to meet me. The lady at the shelter accidentally let me go without a leash, and I ran right to Mama. It’s like I knew she would be nice and keep me safe. As we were leaving, I had to test my new humans. I needed to see if their new loyalty was true, so I rolled in dog poo as we walked to the truck. Guess what? They still kept me!

Since I’m a Mama’s girl and a creature of habit, I thought I’d make a list of my favorite things.

A few of my favorite things:

  1. Sunning like a cat.
  2. Cuddling on the couch with Mama.
  3. Sleeping in “my spot” on the bed with Daddy.
  4. Chasing turkeys and crows out of our yard.
  5. Belly rubs.
  6. Sneaking food out of the trash.
  7. Stealing Oreo’s toys.
  8. Playing Trying to play with the cats.
  9. My under bite. It gives me character. Don’t you think?
Covergirl for sure.
Covergirl for sure.

One thing I do not like or could do a little less of…being the baby. Mama has taken it a little too far by using me as a test baby for all the baby gadgets around the house. And what’s worse is she photographs me in each one. Behold the proof…

Apparently, I needed some type of piggy back ride. I'm neither a baby nor a pig.
Apparently, I needed some type of piggy back ride. I’m neither a baby nor a pig. Look, Mama can barely hold back the laughter.
Even the little humans got in on this 'baby stuff." Mama and Daddy's cousins like "walking" me in the stroller.

Ok, I actually kind of like this thing. Humans call it a Mamaroo.

Needless to say, I’ll welcome a baby. Please, sooner rather than later.
