Number 9

It’s been 9 years. Or 15. Depends on how you count. What are we talking about?!? Our relationship; we’ve been married for 9 whole years! We married mid-day on May 17, 2008 in a small ceremony at Jessica’s alma mater, The College of William and Mary. We started dating on the same day 6 years prior, so we have been together for 15 years.

We met in high school and became friends. Anyone remember, AIM? Chris asked Jessica if she would be his girlfriend through instant messenger. Some days it feels like forever and other days it feels like yesterday.

We plan to celebrate this weekend, but we took our cake topper out of the freezer for a quick photo op. We didn’t plan to keep our cake topper, but it was saved by reception staff, so we just kept it. Eating it after the first year was out the question, so we just kept it in the freezer. We take it out each year to take a picture and plan to do so until it falls apart. We know it’s weird, but that’s ok!
