Last year, we started out our local library to investigate their selection of adoption related books. They even hunted down some additional books we could borrow through the interlibrary loan system. They were very gracious, and we appreciate them so much. We learned about the process of adoption mostly through reputable websites and from adoption social workers. Most of the books we’ve read thus far have mostly been repetitive, but there is always something to learn from each resource.
One of the most popular questions we have been asked is about the different types of adoption, specifically international and foster care. We are so glad to hear that so many of our loved ones are aware that there is more than one adoption route and supportive of our choice to adopt. We know there are a lot of questions about adoption, and we wanted to share the information we’ve learned. Some of you have asked us questions you have, and we’ve done our best to answer them directly. We know that others may have the same questions, so we are also sharing here.
